Steam Train Sunday

Get aboard an old steam train and relive a bygone era! Steam Train Sunday is a monthly event presented by The Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich and departs from Roma Street Station in Brisbane.

The one hour trip passes through the City and city stations where you can enjoy river crossings and heritage-listed stations on your journey aboard vintage carriages.

Inside the carriages exists a bygone era of elegance and style in rail travel, with polished wood panels and brass and iron luggage racks, while some contain the old lamp lit compartments with black and white pictures on the walls.

Trains depart at approx 10:15am and 11:40am on selected Sundays, the duration of the ride is approximately 1 hour..
