The Greater Springfield community’s vision from the onset was to retain 30% green space across the intended city’s 2,860 hectares.
Greater Springfield’s suburbs have parklands with bikepaths, numerous lakes and the remarkable Robelle Domain, the city’s 24 hectare central parkland, acts as the green spine to the entire city.
Brookwater, with its world-class golf course is another example of Greater Springfield’s sustainability initiative, with 45% of this master-planned community being safeguarded as green space and will never be built on. With limited cut and fill, the homes are designed to marry with the surrounding natural landform.
Even the city’s buildings are being built to a green code with some of the most sustainable buildings in the country. The Springfield Tower and futuristic GE Building both have been given a Green Star Rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Greater Springfield’s world-award winning master plan continues to provide for this sustainability initiative, with the world’s best practice environmental design principles incorporated at every level.

Have you experienced the Schnitz!
“For thirty years Polish-born Roman Dyduk ran restaurants, and one dish always topped the menu, schnitzels. So, in 2007 Roman opened a restaurant entirely devoted to his signature dish, Schnitz. But what made Roman’s schnitzels so popular? Long before the doors open, our team are in slicing, dicing and sauteing. Yep, we prep all our raw ingredients in store, by hand, every day. It takes time, but it’s the only way to guarantee freshness. As for schnitzels, we don’t make a single schnitzel… until you order one. Schnitzels should never be pre-made and definitely not processed. Real schnitzels are made fresh, to order – hand dipped in egg wash, coated in crumbs and pan cooked until golden brown. That’s the traditional way. That’s the Schnitz way.” The Schnitz
